To fulfill this mission, Levantamos periodically issues a call for proposals to select Brazil-based organization with which it will partner to provide technical assistance, financial support, and undertake other capacity-building efforts.
Levantamos’ staff conducts site visits of the organization before it receives funding and again six months after the organization receives a grant. Each grant recipient is required to report the use of funds at least six months after the grant is made and at various other pre-determined points during the program period. Funds that cannot be financially accounted for must be returned.
